Got a discount from Booking for hotels in my girlfriend's city. I wonder where they got that info. Probably from the airline, Fly Pegasus. The flaw: treating customers like pests to "deal with" -- terribly poor psychology that will curb your growth. Reframe: LOVE your customers

Retweeted by Matteo ManferdiniIn general, be wary of people who want to collaborate--they are often trying to find someone who will do the heavy lifting for them.

@ratkins With all those links you are assured people will sooner or later click on one and probably won't come back to read the rest. You might think you are helping your reader by giving him more info, but he probably does not want it. Also, you are showing him the door. This is what I meant in my previous tweet: http://t.co/SWhQkPKsdi (Not really an interesting article, but it shows the concept well)@dcedrych I mean something like this: http://t.co/RrtRCghJeq@ratkins That's not what I'm talking about. I mean articles like these one, with more than one link per paragraph: http://t.co/RrtRCghJeqWhy do people fill their blog posts with so many links to other sites? I find it hard to read and it's an invitation to leave your site.@dcedrych yes, I usually work with designers.

@dcedrych Oh, yes, don't get me started on this. I had some code today that complied fine and didn't anymore when copied in another function@dcedrych Actually it was just assigning a closure to a variable. I haven't the exact code anymore, since I'm trying to appease the compilerThe wonderful errors of the Swift compiler. http://t.co/hzhkZ8tR0vGo home Xcode, you're–you know what? That's too easy. @sla_shalafi BTW I’m not speaking about games. Those are an exception I don’t really know much about.@sla_shalafi investigating it at the moment for non mobile and works amazingly. I plan to test it in mobile in the future.@sla_shalafi I learned that the best channel for online business is email. Never saw anybody using it in mobile. Maybe the key is there.@sla_shalafi that was my point. Development is definitely a skill completely unrelated to business. Useful, but you need to know how.@sla_shalafi or we might be making it complicated ourselves.@sla_shalafi and many are run by people with a fraction of the skills and the resources we devs have. Still, they kick our ass at business.@sla_shalafi we self inflicted our pain targeting cheap consumers with low price apps. If you look at web businesses, nobody does that.@sla_shalafi We the indies. The web is full of people starting alone and without money making plenty.@sla_shalafi The web is mature and far from saturated. We just never learned how to run proper mobile businesses.#Spain becomes the first country in the #EU that prohibits citizens from recording or taking pictures of the police http://t.co/EGRHiZqIr3

@nevanking Scientists are paid for that, so it's definitely a wanted activity. Useless solutions are those nobody will ever pay for.@nevanking Research is a different thing. Those are things that potentially will be very helpful. Nobody needs a social network for pets.I wonder if developers are the only ones good at solving unexisting problems, or if this happens in other fields as well.@sla_shalafi Something developers seem to be really good at.Strategy is market research, understanding people's pains and deciding what to build. Without this, the rest is useless. One big mistake of developers is that they spend all their time doing tactical work, with no strategy. Development is tactical work.basically all of pg's later essays are: it is good because i have it, and i have it because i'm good, cuz i'm paul graham, bitches. so lame.
